At Axon, we believe that the most successful and fulfilling careers are the result of setting direction, pursuing opportunities, seeking out challenges, playing to strengths and constantly learning. And Axon is a place where motivated people can do exactly that.

We have a range of consulting and technical training courses, a career development process and a mentoring system to help you move your career forward. When you join, you will be assigned a development manager or team leader to help you make the most of these tools. Of course, none of this can replace your own imagination, energy and ambition and ultimately, only you can be accountable for the development of your career.

Once you have joined Axon, your future could be anywhere in the company. Our most senior and successful project managers and programme directors all joined Axon as consultants. With the right capabilities, we have had people move between business consulting, solution implementation and applications management. Consultants have moved into and out of management, sales and support roles too. For example, our European sales director joined us as a programmer and our chief operating officer joined as a business consultant. Not everyone wants to change roles as quickly or as radically as that and some of our staff have been in their position for several years and are perfectly fulfilled.

The other way in which you gain valuable experience and variety is as you move between projects and countries. Our projects cover just about every kind of large organisation in both the private and the public sector and most (though certainly not all) of our consultants don’t specialise in a particular industry. A consultant’s experience of improving service and performance levels in a financial services call centre could be very valuable to a government organisation trying to improve service levels to it’s citizens.

We have regional headquarters in London, New York, Sydney, Kuala Lumpur and Dubai, but we have no internal regional constraints and we consider everybody in the company when we are building project teams. Travel is an important part of being a consultant, particularly in our Business Consulting and Solution Implementation practices, as you will see in the Working at Axon section.

As you can see, the flexibility of our organization, the sheer variety of work we do and the tools we put at your disposal could provide you with an excellent platform from which to build your career - whether it’s by developing deeper industry expertise or technical knowledge, improving your consulting, management or leadership skills or broadening your industry and international experience.
