Appointment of new non-executive director 22/03/2004
London, 22 March 2004: Axon Group plc, the business transformation consultancy, today provided an update on changes within its board.
Mark Hunter, Chief Executive Officer, said:
"As announced on the 02 March 2004 and following on from the appointment of Stephen Cardell as Chief Operating Officer, Axon Group plc has undertaken a process to strengthen the Plc Board in 2004. I am pleased to announce the appointment of Roy Merritt as non-executive director with immediate effect. Roy was previously managing partner of DB Capital Venture Partners, director of Providence Equity Partners and served as Group Finance Director/Chief Financial Officer for Esprit Telecom Group Plc for over four years. Roy brings to Axon extensive corporate finance and mergers and acquisition experience.
"Kelvin Harrison, who has been on the Plc Board since 12 February 1999, will be stepping down at the end of the Annual General Meeting on 28 May 2004. The Board would like to thank Kelvin for his contribution to Axon over the past five years and I wish him every success for the future.
"Roy Merritt will replace Kelvin Harrison as Chairman of the audit committee with effect from the date of the Annual General Meeting, 28 May 2004 and will be a member of both the remuneration and the newly formed nomination committee. David Oertle will take on the role of Chairman of the remuneration committee with effect from the date of the Annual General Meeting, 28 May 2004, will continue to be a member of the audit committee and will also become a member of the nomination committee. Barbara Thomas, who is the nominated senior non-executive director, will become Chairman of the nomination committee and remains a member of both the remuneration and audit committee." |
