in Isabela, Puerto Rico

10/07/2008

Axon Group plc and Pratt & Whitney today announced plans to create 300 new jobs in Isabela as part of a new Enterprise Resource Planning business, primarily related to the provision of SAP services. Axon Puerto Rico, Inc., the joint venture between both global companies, represents an overall investment value of $22 Million U.S. dollars, which includes incentives for building infrastructure and job creation provided by the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company (PRIDCO). Pratt & Whitney is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) company. Axon Group plc (LSE: AXO.L), is a world leader in delivering SAP services to multinational organizations globally.

Axon Puerto Rico will be located in a 33,444 square feet PRIDCO building at the Mora Guerrero Industrial Park in Isabela.

“As users of one of the largest and most comprehensive SAP implementations, Pratt & Whitney is uniquely qualified to partner with Axon to deliver world-class SAP business process services,” said Rita Peralta, president, Axon Puerto Rico, Inc and director, Pratt & Whitney Global Process Management. “The new business is an extension of Pratt & Whitney’s commitment to doing business in Puerto Rico.”

“Pratt & Whitney is a visionary corporation and customer. Axon is delighted to join with them to invest in this strategic, state-of-the-art, and near-shore technology center.” stated Steve Peck, president and CEO of Axon Americas. “We are proud to work so closely with the government and citizens of Puerto Rico to create so many net-new, hi-tech jobs to Isabela. Axon Puerto Rico is not only strategic to Axon and Pratt & Whitney, but also to SAP by adding trained and certified consultants and delivery capabilities to a thriving SAP ecosystem.”

Ed Lange, Chief Customer Officer and Executive Vice President, SAP Americas and SAP Asia Pacific Japan commented that “this innovative joint venture between a world class customer and a highly respected, dedicated SAP Systems Integrator is a testament to the innovative leaderships at both organizations and a great example of how the public and private sector can work together so that everyone wins.”
